A previous designer had provided a new visual treatment for the Alan Rogers homepage and one content page. However, the designs lacked awareness of web accessibility, so I was asked to refine these two designs, then provide multiple new page designs for other areas of the site.
I worked closely with the lead developer at Alan Rogers who would be overseeing the front-end and back-end build. This allowed me to get a great understanding of what exactly was required, and made it much easier to tweak designs as we progressed.
Although I had moved to browser-based design for other projects, I was asked to provide PhotoShop comps as the in-house developers were used to working from PSDs. I delivered PSDs for 8 unique templates and also provided two layouts for different newsletter designs. The PSDs focused on the large-screen layouts and while I did provide guidance on how to modify them for smaller screens, all the responsive design work was done by the Alan Rogers team in-house.
I also designed two custom newsletter templates to replace their existing outdated format.
